SAWMILL GUTTED
FIRE AT HALDANE , (United Press Association) INVERCARGILL, 21st June. An outbreak of fire on Saturday morning completely destroyed the Haldane Sawmilling Company’s premises at Haldane. The fire started in the mill buildings, but the cause is unknown. The mill building was gutted and the machinery damaged, but except for the saws it will be possible to repair the machinery. Three huts within 20 feet of the building were npt touched. Neither the mill nor the machinery was insured.
