THE WEATHER
A SUNNY HOLIDAY Nelson is experiencing an exceptionally dry and sunny mid-winter, and a clear sky prevailed to-day for the King’s Birthday holiday. Last night a frost of a little over four degrees was experienced, and a slight breeze from the south-west got up with the sun, the early morning being bracing. At the Government Research Orchard this morning’s frost was of five degrees, and at 9 a.m. a gentle south-west breeze was recorded. In the city during the day the wind freshened considerably. The barometer to-day showed a slight rise over yesterday’s reading of 30.15.
