ESCAPE IN NIGHT ATTIRE
(By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, 21st June. Awakened by the crackling of flames, Mr and Mrs R. J. Walker, of Manurewa, had barely time to save their seven children before the house was completely destroyed by fire this morning. The family was left absolutely destitute, as it escaped in its night attire, but as the result of an appeal clothes valued at between £2O and £35 were contributed by this evening.
