WEDDING

McNAB—STEPHENSON Bishopdale Chapel, Nelson, was decorated with ' golden shaded African marigolds, sunset and blue-tinted hydrangeas and copper beech for the wedding of Constance Maude Stephenson, New Plymouth, and Graham McNab, Tasman, Nelson, on the evening of 15th June. The bride Is the younger daughter of Mrs W. N. Stephenson and the late Mr Stephenson, Baring Terrace, New Plymouth, and the bridegroom the youngest son of Mr T. McNab and the late Mrs McNab, Wellington. The officiating .* ister was the Rev. D. Haultain, aiid-Mjr A. C.'Webb played the wedding music. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr J. N. Stephenson. Her gown of magnolia satin was fashioned on slim lines and the skirt, fully flared at the knees, formed a small train at the back. From the neckline, 1 which was high and outlined with soft satin roses and gold leaves, pleated panels fell and were caught at the waist with a gold girdle. The full sleeves were long and pointed over the. Wrists. A delicate veil of cream tulle, hand-embroidered, was worn with a circlet of orange blossom buds across the back of the head, and she carried latua lilies, arranged to form a sheaf. A niece of the bridegroom, Miss Noeleen Dodson, was bridesmaid and little Jocelyn and Nancy Stephenson, nieces of the bride, were flower girls. All were dressed alike in pale primrose satin, made in Victorian style, with pale green and primrose flowers outlining the neck. They wore wreaths of flowers in these tonings in their hair and carried trailer posies of golden gleam nasturtiums and Iceland poppies. Mr N. G. McNab, Pangatotara, Nelson, was best man. Autumn tints predominated in the floral arrangements at the Mia Mia tea rooms, where the reception was held. Mrs Stephensin wore a frock of black lace relieved with touches of white, with black hat and bouquet of pale pink roses and Iceland poppies. Mrs H. P. Dodson, Tasman, sister of the bridegroom, wore apple green lace, trimmed with velvet in the same shade, and hat to match. Mrs J. N. Stephenson, New Plymouth, sister-in-law of the bride, chose black ring velvet relieved with a spray of led roses and Miss Gwen Stephenson, New Plymouth, a sister of the bride, wore a cherry matalasse frock with matching coatee. The bride left on her honeymoon wearing an ensemble of navy blue finished with a large gold buckle and gold buttons. Her shovel-shaped hat was of navy blue felt and her accessories were to match.
