TOO MANY POWER BOARDS

TOO LITTLE TO DO HON. R. SEMPLE ON THE WARPATH (By Telegraph—Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The administration of the electric power supply will be investigated by the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. Semple, during the Parliamentary recess, according to a statement made by him. “It is another public service calling for reform and fairly drastic reform at that,” said the Minister. “I intend to go fully into the matter with a view to creating a better form of control than operates at present. To-day it is both cumbersome and costly. “I am satisfied there arc too many power boards with too little to do a:id at too great a cost. All this needless cost is passed on to the consuming public.”
