UNSIGHTED CYCLES

(To The Editor) Will you please allow me space to express the following facts to the Traffic Inspector of the Nelson City Council. Being a frequent user of the Wakapuaka road. I have every' opportunity to observe the number of cyclists who ride without lights on their machines, in particular, in the vicinity of the Cemetery. They are nothing but a menace to the public, also endangering their own lives, as it s impossible to see them, in the glare of oncoming headlights, till one is piactically on to them. There is no excuse whatever for these carryings on, as cycle lamps can be purchased at such a low cost. Trusting some attention will be paid to this part of the road by the local authority.—l am, etc., T , H. WILLIAMS. Hira, 18th June.
