ANZAC STAMPS

LAST DAY OF SALE TO-MORROW

A reminded is given that to-morrow will be the last day of sale for the Anzac stamps. The 21st anniversary of the landing of the New Zealanders at Gallipoli was commemorated by the issue of a postage stamp specially struck as the result of collaboration between the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association and the New Zealand Postal Department. Proceeds of the sales of this stamp to the extent of 50 per cent, will be passed on to the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association for use in assisting necessitous cases of exservicemen and their dependents. The proceeds will provide the Association with a fund it has not been able to set up hitherto.
