ROYAL YACHT
READY TO GO TO SEA (By Air Mail—From Our Own ■ Correspondent) LONDON, 14th May. The royal yacht Victoria and Albert is now-ready to go 1 to sea at any time. During the last few weeks painters and decorators have been busily engaged putting final touches to her, and the boilers and engines have all been overhauled. This is a process carried out rather earlier than usual, the King having ordered that the yacht should be in commission as from Ist May. Rear-Admiral Dudley North is again in command, and among the lucky junior officers is Sub.-Lieut. D. F. Godfrey Faussett, a son of Captain Sir Bryan Godfrey-Faussett, who has been a naval equerry to the King for many years. Admiral North has had long association with the Royal family. He was A.D.C. to the late King as well as to King Edward VIII when, as Prince of Wales, he undertook his Canadian tour in 1919 and his tour of the southern'hemisphere a few years later. Although no orders have been issued, it is ah open secret that the King contemplates going farther afloat in the royal yacht than was the wont! of King George and Queen Mary. He may entertain a party aboard during Whitsuntide.
