Essex won by nine wickets. Derby v. Yorkshire: — Derby, first innings, 253 (Townsend 101, Bowes took five for 66); Yorkshire, first innings, 112 (Mitchell six for 60), followed on one for 102. Derby won on the first innings.

Middlesex v. Lancashire: — Middlesex, first innings, 114; Lancashire, first innings, six for 110. The match was drawn, Sussex v. Warwick: —

Sussex, first innings, 233 (Cook 95, Santall five for 59); second innings, 109 (Mayer seven for 51). Warwick, first innings, 104; second innings, five for 239 (Santall not out 104).
