TOURIST TROPHY RACE
THE JUNIOR INTERNATIONAL WON BY F. L. FRITH (British Official Wireless) (Received 16th June, 2.10 p.m.) RUGBY, 15th June. The Junior International Tourist Trophy over 264 miles on the Isle of Man was won by F. L. Frith, driving a Norton, in 3 hours 17 mins 6 secs, at an average speed of 80.14 m.p.h. White, on another Norton, was second, with an average speed of 77.97 m.p.h., and E. A. Mellers, on a Velocette, was third with an average of 77.91 m.p.h. James Guthrie, the winner for the last two years, was disqualified, after leading for four laps, and broke hie own lap record of 80.11 m.p.h., which was also beaten by Frith, who set a new lap record of 81.94 m.p.h. Frith’s winning total' time broke Guthrie’s previous record by 2min 86secs. GUTHRIE’S DISQUALIFICATION CANCELLED (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, 15th June. Guthrie’s disqualification was cancelled after the hearing of evidence. The value of the second prize, £7O, which he would probably have won, was awarded to Nortons, who won the team prize.
