VESSEL SIGHTED
BELIEVED TO BE GIRL PAT SHORT OF FUEL AND FOOD (United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 11th June, 9.20 a.m.) GEORGETOWN (British Guiana), 10th June. The Master of the Lorraine Cross reports that he sighted a vessel believed to be the Girl Pat near Cayenne flying a distress signal which stated the vessel was out of fuel and food. When asked if the ship’s papers were in order the vessel hoisted sail and headed south-west.
