DECREASE IN REVENUE LESS FROM INCOME TAX AND ESTATE DUTIES (British Official Wireless) (Received 10th June, 12.15 p.m.) RUGBY, 9th June. Exchequer returns show that the total ordinary revenue, excluding selfbalancing items, amounts to £93,907,203, compared with £100,370,834 to the corresponding date last year. The yield from surtax of stamps and Customs and several minor items is greater than for the same period in the last financial year, but receipts from income tax and estate duties are less. However, the principal difference in the revenue to date between the present and last financial years, is under the heading “miscelaneous receipts,” which are over £2,500,000 less so far this year. The total ordinary expenditure, exclusive of selfbalancing items, is £154,988,176, compared with £154,093,928 to the corresponding date in 1935.
