- NELSON DEFENCE CLUB SATURDAY’S MATCHES
CUP WINNERS DECIDED i 7 The Nelson Defence Rifle Club completed the championship, Wastney, Mitchener and Harris cups last Saturday at the Seabourne Range with 7 shots at 800 yards and 10 shots at 900 yards, in perfect weather. H. Day, with 33 at 800 and a splendid 10-shot possible at 900 —83, won the leg-in for Mr Field’s trophy and senior feathers. E. Russell 33, 49, handicap I—B3 was runner-up. Wastney Cup points were allotted as follows: H. Day 5, E. Russell 4, F. Sharland 3, A. T. Orchard 2, B. B. Jones 1. Next Saturday the shoot will be for the Burrough Cup and Colonel Thom’s shell case, 200, 300 and 500 yards. Every club member is specially requested to attend this shoot which is also the classification for ammunition. Saturday’s scores were:—
