ADMITTED TO UNITED STATES
AGENT FOR ARCOS (United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) WASHINGTON, 21st May. According to immigration officials, Jacob Grossman, travelling representative of Arcos, was admitted to the United States provisionally at San Francisco, after being tentatively held as an undesirable alien. On his arrival from Australia the Soviet Embassy here explained that Grossman was travelling as> a purchasing agent for the U.S.S.R. It is understood that some of his answers to immigration inspectors’ questions were considered to be unfavourable, for which reason he was detained.
