THE WEATHER
STILL REMAINS UNSETTLED Moderate to strong northerly winds, hacking soon to southerlies are forecast to-day, tlie weather being changeable with intermittent rain, hut improving to-morrow.
The amount of haze increased yesterday afternoon and. there was littlo warmth in the sunshine. The temperature during the night was cool, but not down to freezing point, the minimum temperature on the grass being 36.7 degrees. The bright sunshine yesterday amounted to 7 hours 55 minutes. The barometer this morning had fallen to 30.29 as compared with 30.41 yesterday morning. There was an increased amount of cloud about to-day hut the weather was still settled, and sunny and calm. There was a slight frost recorded at the Government Research Orchard. Pressure was lower over the Dominion this morning, the weather was chiefly fine, although showery in the south, at Puysegur Point. Variable winds were experienced this morning, and light Tain fell overnight on the West Coast, 112 points being registered at Puysegur Point.
