SHEEP-DOG TRIALS
N ELS 0 N-M A R L R 0 RO U (I H ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIPS AT BRIGHTWATER Ihe Maiiborough-Nelsoii Sheep-dog Association opened its championship trials at Mr A. E. .Max’s property, Briglilwater, yesterday afternoon. There was a large entry of dogs and the weather was gloriously line. Mr R. Innes, of Springfield, is the judge. The competitions were continued to-day and further championship events will be held to-morrow and on Saturday. The result of yesterday’s trial was as follows: — Class I.—Huntaway through two gets of flags, bring back, hold in ring and yard. Prizes, Ist. £5; 2nd, £2 10s; 3rd, £1; and a cup donated by Mr W.
