WASHINGTON, 30th March/ It was disclosed at the Congressional investigation to-day into the Townsend plan for the payment oL pensions'to. ,all at 60 years of age that' whereas during the last quarter of 1935 the income,. of the plan—namely, Old .‘Age Revolving Pensions, Ltd., from the 10-ceiits monthly dues from members was 350,000 .dpllars, it shrank to 180,000, in .the. nextquarter. - ~ /■;: -f, Internal dissension over basic policies among the leaders, of the movement. ,vf(is also considered to have seriously affected the standing of the organisation, the most recent - resignation being that of Mr McGroarty, who was the organisation’s spokesman in Congress. Mr McGroarty alleged that Df, Townsend had deserted his original plan and was now advocating an entirely different scheme which he was unable to' support. ' •"
