NOTHING REVOLUTIONARY
GUARANTEED PRICES FOR PRODUCE COMMENT ON NEW ZEALAND’S EXPERIMENT ' (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received Ist April, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, 31st March. The Manchester “Guardian” says the New Zealand Government after watching the confused efforts of Mr Aberhart in Alberta to. dodge his promises of £5 a week for everyone, prefers to follow mildly in the footsteps of President Roosevelt and promises the farmer guaranteed prices for cheese, butter and wheat. There is nothing revolutionary in this, and many British fanners would like to see a similar course here. Interest centres in the nationalisation of the Reserve Bank. If Mr M. J. Savage, Prime Minister, uses national credit for public works to obviate unemployment, developments will be watched with interest.
