DEPENDENT ON ATTITUDE OF OPPOSITION BILLS MAY BE PRESENTED TO-NIGHT (From “The Mail’s” Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, This Day. . There is a possibility of some of the Government’s main legislative proposals making their appearance in the House of Representatives this evening, but everything depends on the attitude adopted by the official Opposition towards the Address-in-Reply debate.

The Government lias three main measures ready foi’ introduction,'; the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Amendment Bill; the Government Railways Amendment Bill, and the Indust r ial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Bill. The Address-in-Reply debate will be resumed by the Leader of the Opposition (the Hon. G. W. Forbes) this evening. It was the intention of the Prime Minister (the Hon. M. J. Savage), to follow the Leader of the Opposition, but he states that the course of events depended entirely o nthe attitude that Mr Forbes would adopt. If Mr Forbes announced that the Opposition did not intend to take ■ the provided by • the Address-in-Reply debate, the way would be paved for the introduction of’ Government measures. It was not intended to broadcast the preliminary proceedings in connection with these Bills, but when the second reading stage was reached selected speakers from all sides of the House would go on the air,
