The attendance and track were both good. Results: —- Pahiatua Cup, of £125; one mile and a quarter —1 Dungarvan, 7.13, 1; 3 Pladie, 8.6, 2; 4 Speed, 8.3, 3. All started. Won by three-quarters of a length, a neck. Time, 2.9 1-5. Maiden Race, of £6O; six furlongs and 55 yards—3 Cloudy Range, 8.11, 1; 7 Forum, 8.11, 2; 9 Sir Ronald, 8.11, 3. All started. Won by two lengths, onp and a half lengths. Time, 1.20. Ballance Highweight Handicap, of £7O; one mile and 110 yards—l Geitel, 10.6, 1; 6 Contract, 9.1, 2; 3 Blue Tiger, 10.6, 3. Scratched: Muggins, Grand Blow, Prince Reno. Won by half a length, two lengths. Time, 1.51 4-5.
