PAHIATUA RACING CLUB CUP TO DUNGARVAN (By Telegraph—Press Association) PAHIATUA, This Day. The weather was fine for the opening of the Pahiatua'Racing Club’s meeting. The attendance and track were both good. Results: —- Pahiatua Cup, of £125; one mile and a quarter —1 Dungarvan, 7.13, 1; 3 Pladie, 8.6, 2; 4 Speed, 8.3, 3. All started. Won by three-quarters of a length, a neck. Time, 2.9 1-5. Maiden Race, of £6O; six furlongs and 55 yards—3 Cloudy Range, 8.11, 1; 7 Forum, 8.11, 2; 9 Sir Ronald, 8.11, 3. All started. Won by two lengths, onp and a half lengths. Time, 1.20. Ballance Highweight Handicap, of £7O; one mile and 110 yards—l Geitel, 10.6, 1; 6 Contract, 9.1, 2; 3 Blue Tiger, 10.6, 3. Scratched: Muggins, Grand Blow, Prince Reno. Won by half a length, two lengths. Time, 1.51 4-5.
