WOMEN’S REST ROOM AND PLUNKET ROOMS The Toe IT League of Women Helpers recently hold a very successful social evening in the Toe H Rooms, which took the form of a “Bring and Buy” Social. The convenor (Mrs U. West) in her welcome to the guests remarked that the proceeds of the evening were to go to the funds of the new Plunket and Rest Rooms which were essentially- for women and the attaining of which was deserving of the. support of all women’s organisations throughout the district. Items were given bv Miss Lewin and Miss J. Rogers, interspersed with competitions, and after a dainty supper had been dispensed, a thoroughly enjoyable evening was concluded with a most satisfactory sale, the gross proceeds to be handed to -the Rest Room Fund.
