JOCKEY’S SUSPENSION

appeal dismissed (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. The ; appeal of Jockey P. Atkms against the term of three months’ suspension imposed by the Wellington judicial stewards following an inquiry into alleged careless riding in the Pacific Handicap, in which Gay Chief fell at the recent Wellington Racing Club’s meeting, was dismissed by the W ellington District Committee. It is understood that Atkins intends to appeal to the appeal judges of the Racing Conference.
