MANNEQUIN PARADE AT TRATHEN’S LA KG IS ATT ENDANC-E An interesting forecast of Autumn and Winter fashions was given at the mannequin parade at Trathcn's yesterday afternoon. A wide range of models was shown, from sports clothes to elaborate evening gowns. Jersey suits are to be worn for sports. One particularly ill tractive outfit for golf consisted of a black hopsaek skirt, a white roll collared jumper with black stripes, relieved by three bright red buttons at one side. For street wear, tailored suits were shown, a cigar-brown tweed suit, was worn with a brown felt hat in the new shovel shape, while with a smart tailored suit in black and white the mannequin wore a turk hat with a small eyeveil, and a skunk stole. A three-piece suit in black chevron struck a very new note. It had a threequarter length cape for very cold days, and without the cape, was a smart belted suit. With it was worn a stitched taffeta hat with an upturned brim, aiul a scarlet scarf and handbag completed the ensemble. Luxurious fur trimmings were a feature of the coats shown. A diagonal cloth coat in the new shade “vineyard” which is a dee]) red, had a large skunk collar, and a handsome coat in dark brown cloth had big cuffs and collar of dyed squirrel. One model in burgundy diagonal weave, had coney fur trimming the whole length of the sleeves, and the scarf collar. An attractive Breton in matching felt was worn with this coat. Another unusual coat had quilted lapels edged with squirrel. Several very pretty afternoon frocks were shown. A black liiarocain frock had stitched re vers of emerald green velvet, and a black crinkle crepe attractively buttoned at the back, had a military front in black and white braiding. A large bone buckle and clasp made an unusual trimming for a brown crinkle crepe with a metal thread. This was worn with a Peaehnniki fur coat, and a shovel hat in brown felt. A mustard wool frock with patch pockets, looked very smart worn with short fur jacket. A pretty frock in blue moss crepe had full accordion pleated sleeves, and a cowi neck trimmed with silver buttons. A turk hat in matching felt with an upstanding quill, completed the ensemble. There are dinner and evening gowns to suit all types, slim-fitting satins, full taffetas and richly coloured velvets. A model in ice blue crepe satin with a wide stretched collar finished with a large flower in navy was worn with a small navy silk coat, while a beautifully fitting black velvet frock with crossed straps' on the back and diamante clasps at the neck line, was worn with a inch gold coolie coat of yellow embroidered'' velvet. A dinner frock in black velvet had full net sleeves handed with velvet. Chinese red lacquer crepe was used for a trained evening gown. This frock had an unusual hustle effect, and the high neck line was finished with a large diamante clasp. An attractive cocktail gown was worn with a robin hood hat in black velvet. The frock of black taffetas with a gold thread—had a pretty skirt slim fitting in the front, with a very full back, and large elbow length puff sleeves. A rich Peking blue velvet semi-evening gown, with long sleeves, had as its only trimming a large silver buckle at the hack waist line. Another- Ainusual frock, was of pale blue taffetas with a wide quilted collar and full sleeves with quilted cuffs.

Easter brides would be interested in the bride and bridesmaid which concluded the parade. The bride wore a beautiful frock of parchment satin with an embroidered yoke and long fitting sleeves. Her veil was of cm-* broidered tulle, held in place by a dainty head dress in bonnet shape. She carried a bouquet of pale pink carnations and begonias. The bridesmaid’s frock was of flame moire taffetas made with a very full skirt. The bodice was trimmed with rucking at the neck line which was softened by a tulle edging. She carried a matching bouquet.*
