The big American sixteen-cylinder car was hogging along a Warwickshire road when it suddenly pulled up with a screech of brakes opposite an old countryman. “Say,” said the driver, “kin you tell me if T am right for W. Shakespeare’s house?” “Yessir,” replied the yokel, “hut there’s no need to hurry—he’s been dead these many years.”
