SUNDAY SCHOOL PICNIC

The St. Barnabas’ and St. Stephen’s Sunday Schools of Stoke and Tahunanui held a combined picnic at Snowden’s Bush. Buses loft the two churches at 10 o’clock and with beautiful weather prevailing the fullest use was made of tho charming surroundings. Bathing was a great attraction, and later games and races caused the day to pass all too quickly. Tho two superintendents — Messrs H. Walsleben and 11. Sharp—with the hehi of Messrs Sommervilie and Mabin, assisted to make the day a happy one for all. Mrs Carter with friends saw that the provisions were plentiful and well served. The day will long be remembered as a time of goodwill and good friendship.
