DUNEDIN, This Day. The official South Island air pageant opened this morning under" ideal conditions. The weather was perfect till just after the spectacular air parade of 44 machines over the city, when a southerly wind storm followed by steady rain marred the afternoon. Results

Gloucester Trophy, dead reckoning navigation—Keither (Western Federated), 1; Smith (Southland), 2; Beveridge '(W airarapa-Ruahine). 3. Junior landing—Miss Black (Otago), 1; G. Cunningham (Wairarapa), 2; Watson (Southland), 3. Bombing, non-professional B or dorsed A pilots—Mitchell (Otago), 1; Leverton (Wellington), 2; Brown (Hawkea Bay), 3.'
