DOMINION BANDS’ CONTEST

NELSON OR CHRISTCHURCH ? REPORT ON LOCAL ACCOMMODATION BEING PREPARED Mr J. G. Osborne, scecretary of the New Zealand Brass Bands Association, is at present in Nelson making inquiries regarding suitable accommodation available for bandsmen in the event of the next .contest being held at Nelson. A meeting of the management committee of the Association will be held at an early date to consider Mr Osborne’s report, and to decide whether the contest will be held at Nelson or Christchurch. Mr Osborne remarked to a press representative to-day that he could not see any reason why a successful contest could not he carried out here.
