OBITUARY
MRS W. R. GLOVER The many friends of Mrs W. It. Glover will have regretted to hear of her death, which occurred on Tuesday, 10th March, at Motueka. The late Mrs Glover was born at Spring Grove, Nelson, sixty-eight years ago, being the youngest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Edward Lewis. Mr Lewis was the well-known evangelist of the Church of Christ in Sydney and in Prahran, Melbourne, and later in the Spring Grove and Wai-iti districts, as well as in other parts of New Zealand. Several years were spent by the family in Australia, where the late Mrs Glover was a teacher in the Sunday school at Prahran. The family returned to New Zealand and Mrs Glover was married in Wellington on the 31st March, 1888. The late Mr and Mrs Glover were for many years resident in the Nelson district and with their family settled in Motueka about twenty-four years age. The late Mrs Glover, who was greatly respected by all who knew her, was particularly noted for her ever ready assistance in times, of trouble and sickness. She is survived by four sons— Messrs John F .Glover (Wellington), Edward L., Harold N., and Stanley G. Glover, of Motueka, and three daughters—Misses V. and N. Glover (Motueka) and Mrs Main (Orinoco). Tho funeral, which took place to the Motueka Cemetery on Thursday, wag attended by a large number of friends. Mr J. K. Robinson, of the Church of Christ, Nelson, and Mr M. Bell, of Motueka, conducted the service. Many beautiful wreaths, testifying to the great esteem in which deceased was held, were placed on the grace. Messrs J. T., E. L., H. N. and S. G. Glover, L. A. Higgins and C. Fawcett were the bearers. The sympathy of a wide circle of friends will be extended to the relatives.
