THRILLING INCIDENTS
Many thrilling stories were told by Mrs Charles Chauvel, wife of the producer of the film “Uncivilised” at Pagewoo'd, when she entertained representatives of the women’s organisations at tea at the National Studios in Sydney. One of the most exciting incidents, said j\lrs C’hauvel, was watching the Palm Island natives handle the big python's which were brought from North Queensland to appear in the film. During the filming of location scenes in the Hincliinbrook Passage, and on the Cape York Peninsula,
hundreds of full-blooded aborigines appeared as; extras, and the party encountered crocodiles and sharks, she added. After tea there was an inspection -of itlie studios, .when the guests met the' producer,-Mr .Qhauvel, and the star, Mr Dennis Hoeyp also the leading lady, Miss Margot Rhys, and the principal players, Miss Marcelle Leclaire. and Messrs Ashton Jarry and ■ Kenneth" Brampton.
