ANZAC DAY
(To the Editor) Sir, —The continuance of the observance of Anzac Day as a day of mourning has been the subject of a good deal ot discussion for several years past, alia the official attitude of the R.S.A. is still “Hands off Anzac Day.” As a returned soldier, I cannot subscribe to tins view. Further, I firmly believe that a very large majority of “Diggers ’ would agree that we should no longer continue to observe this day of mourning every year. I have no object to the obseivance of a minute’s silence on the 2otn April or the holding of appropriate services on tlie nearest Sunday; but to continue as at present and not even allow a picture theatre to open is, m my opinion, doing a great deal more harm tha.li (mod.—l am, etc.* _ QUINN’S POST.
