STRONAC’II lIAGCTTT Many friends travelled from Christchurch to Tckapo to attend the wedding, celebrated at noon on 'Thursday of Ruth Graham, elder daughter of the late Mrs llaggitt and of Dean P. 15. liuggitt, the Deanery. Nelson, to John Frederick Bruce, second son of the late Mr 1-’. iStroiiaeh (Dunedin) ami of Mrs Robert Latter, Christchurch (reports ‘■The Press”). The ceremony was performed by the bride’s father, Dean P. 1? llaggitt, at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Tckapo.

Tin: bride was escorted by Mr J. G. L. Vernon. She wore a frock of magnolia satin. The Marina sleeves being heavily corded at the wrists, and the cowled neckline trimmed with a small spray of orange blossom. A sash attached at each side of a central arched panel was looped at t lie back of the waistline, the long tie ends falling over the fan-shaped train, which was weighted with niching. A chaplet of orange blossom held in place her veil of old [lonium lace, which was mounted on net, and was arranged in soft folds over the train of her frock. She carried a sheaf of philipinese lilies. Miss .loan Cottrell (Christchurch) who attended the bride, wore a frock of ninon patterned in sapphire blue and white floral design, and made with a rounded neckline and double capelet sleeves of elbow length. The slightly trained skirt was made on close-fitting lines to the knees, where pedalled pan els were attached, and a half-sash of blue talfeta was knotted at the back of the waistline. Her wide-brimmed picture hat of blue straw was trimmed with shaded blue flowers, and gladioli shading from lemon to orange and blue delphiniums were arranged in her bouquet. Two small flower-girls, Miss Brigit Wills and Miss June Hamilton, were also in attendance. They wove organdie frocks patterned with small blue flowers, and made with large puffed sleeves and blue sashes. Their floral head-dresses toned with the flowers in the posies of field flowers which they carried.

Mr Graham llaggitt, the bride’s brother, was best man.

A reception was held at Irishman Creek station, the home of Mr and Mrs G. W. F. Hamilton. The guests were received by Mrs Hamilton, who was wearing a frock of navy blue taffeta spotted in white, and trimmed with large white flowers at the neckline. Her wide-brimmed hat of navy straw was also relieved with white flowers, and she carried a bouquet of pink carnations and begonias. Mrs Haggitt’s frock was of black lace, relieved with cerise trimmings, and with it she wore a black straw liat. Her bouquet was composed of cerise begonias. Mrs Latter’s navy blue ensemble of crepe de chine was patterned in white, and her navy straw hat was trimmed with pas-tel-shaded petals. She wore also a navy and white feather boa, and carried* a bouquet of pink begonias aiul carnations.

When Mr and Mrs J. F. B. Stronacli left for their wedding tour, the bride was wearing a light navy suit of wool georgette, a mushroom-coloured georgette blouse, aiul a blue felt halo hat, trimmed with a feather mount.

Mr and Mrs Stronacli will live at 3 loth veil.
