At ' the close of the morning's wool sale fine lialfbreds were up by Id on the Christchurch sale in December, and exceptional lots were up to 2d better, though these were few and far between. Pieces were commanding a, better sale. Compared with the December sale bidding was much freer all round, and it could be described as a very lively sale. The allocation of 28,000 bales for Die sale was filled, and as passings continued to be few throughout the morning it was evident that there would bn a good clearance Five bales of Lammermoor Lomeclaic brought 20^d, the highest price this season; the second best price was 10r,d, ior Ryal Downs Corriedalc ewe.
