Commenting on last night’s swimming at Drummoyne baths the "Telegraph” says: “There was ail excuse for Jarvis who was last in the 22G yards championship of New South Wales. He drew number one lane which is the worst of the pool. He dropped behind slightly to conserve his energy and so got' all tiie “wash” from the other competitors. Mathieson in the backstroke handicap race in which he was second was clocked at one-fifth of a second outside v. Besomo’s Australian record of 1.5 4-5.
