FIRM TENDENCY CONTINUES (United Press Association— By Electric 1 Telegraph—Copyright,) SYDNEY, 9th January. At the wool sales 12,000 bales were offered, 11,477 being sold at auction, also 1697 privately. The firmer tendency continued, and the range of values ' now shows advances of 5 to T' s per cent, on closing rates before Christmas. Greasy merino sold to 26d. . , The average price of wool during tne first three days of this week was £l' 17s 5d per bale, and 14.8 d per lb.
