CRICKET COAIPETITION GAAIES (From Our Own, Correspondent) In continuance of the senior competition Riwaka completed their match with Wliakarewa at the latter’s ground on Saturday, winning by 62 runs. At Alotueka, Lower Aloutere defeated the local eleven by 67 runs on the first innings. The best bats for the day were K. Starlies (Lower Aloutere) not out 30, ,H. Crayford (Motueka) 23, R. Bowers (Riwaka) 20, and R. Fowler (Riwaka) 20. Among the bowlers E. Bisley (Wliakarewa) took seven wickets for 25 runs, C.. Askew (Riwaka) secured seven for 23, K. Starnes (Lower Aloutere) captured three wickets for 3 runs, and F. Funnell TT.owcr Aloutere) three for 9. The Riwaka juniors defeated Motueka at Riwaka by 17 runs on the first inn-, ings, and Wliakarewa won from Tni at Lower Aloutere by 11 runs on the first innings. Several good batting scores :were .vgistered, the best being L.. Wise (Tni) not out 67, E ; . Ryder (Riwaka) not out 67 and 34, W. Hyland (Wliakarewa) 43, and Peterson (Motueka) 38. Of the bowlers G.
