The Miners’ Council to-day endorsed the decisions of the conference of mining unions to hold aggregate meetings in all coalfields throughout Australia on Wednesday to decide whether miners favour a general stoppage in sympathy with the striking seamen. The council also agreed to try to extend the strike to land and marine transport unions, and a special sub-com-mittee was appointed to interview -the officials of those organisations to seek their co-operation.
