MRS ARNOLD TURNS PRO* FESSIONAL NEW YORK, 11th November. Mrs Ethel Bn-kardt Arnold, Los Angeles Wightman Cup tennis player, has become a professional under the banner of Bill O'Brien. She will make her debut on 11th January at Madison Square Garden. BRITISH RANKINGS (Received 13th November, noon.) LONDON, 12tli November. The Lawn Tennis Association’s rankings are:— Men: Perry, Austin, Hughes, Tuckey, Tinkler, Sharpe, Lee, Avory, Collins, C. M. Jones, Wilde and Freswater. Women : Miss D. Round and Miss K. Stammers equal first; Mrs Whittinggall, Misses Scriven; Noel, Pittman, Lisle, King, Dearman, Yorke, F. James and Hardwick. The rankings are based on singles only during the summer season.
