REMOVAL OF TELEGRAPH LINES COUNTY COUNCIL CANNOT ASSIST Cook Strait Airways wrote to yesterday’s meeting of the Waimea County Council re the approach to the aerodrome at Stoke. It was resolved to insert pipes where required at.cost price. The .Nelson Aero Club 'asked ;tho Council to assist them in the removal of the telegraph lines adjoining the aerodrome. The cost of £3OO was too heavy for the club to bear, and the Government had expressed the oDinion that *uch was a matter for local bodies in the district. The fact that the whole thing was a temporary affair was commented on unfavourably by members. •It was resolved that no action be taken.
