AGAINST SUBSIDISED FOREIGN VESSELS ATTITUDE OF CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE In connection witli representations it had made to the Government earlier on v the subject of subsidised foreign shipping, executive advised the Government that it was ’anxious to see ail agreement arrived at between New Zealand and Australia in regard to cooperative action being taken by them to safeguard British shipping against subsidised foreign shipping, states the annual report of the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand. The secretary also discussed the matter with the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Hon. R. Masters).
The Minister advises that tlie discussions conducted by the Rt. Hon. J. G.
