The High Commissioner cables, London, 19th October : —Egg market firmer ; prices have advanced.' LONDON MEAT MARKET The market for frozen lamb in London continues to be very firm, with a further advance in prices due to the shortening of stocks, according to the weekly cabled report received by the Meat Producers’ Board. Heavy supplies of home-killed lamb are affecting the demand. In the mutton market lightweight wethers are firmer; others remain steady and unchanged. There has been more inquiry for lightweight ewes and prices have advanced slightly. There is more inquiry for frozen beef, and prices have slightly improved. The market for New Zealand porker pigs is steady, but trade is slow, owing to unfavourable weather. The market for baconers is steady and unchanged. Very few are available.
