ST. JOHN AMBULANCE ASSOCIATION

WAKEFIELD BRANCH ? Last-evening members of tlie Nelson Ambulance Division under Ambulance Officer E. Ashton, visited the Wakefield branch of tlie Association, and gave a demonstration of stretcher. drill. Afterwards the men of the Wakefield branch were instructed in stretcher work, and tlm ladies in hand-seats and triangular bandage work. The divisional members of Nelson went out at the request of the Nelson Sub-Centre of the Association, and were accompanied by the secretary of the latter, Mr R. A. Stedman, under whose office the Wakefield branch works. The Wakefield branch, which consists of 2D members, will hold its first aid examination on 30th September, and appreciated very much the visit of the Division, and the instruction received. Before returning to town, the ladies of the Wakefield branch entertained tlie visitors to supper.
