WOMEN’S HALF MILE RECORD (Dinted Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) MONTREAL, 22ml July. Lenovo Kiglit Homestead, of .Pennsylvania, broke the world’s record half-mile free-stvle event at tbe women’s national swimming championships in the time of II minutes and 34 seconds, compared with the previous record of Helene Madison, of II minutes 41.2 seconds. Mary Lou 'Petty, of Seattle, also broke the record, finishing second in II minutes .*{!). 1 seconds.
