REDUCTION FOR YEAR (By Teleuraph—Press Association! WELLINGTON, 20th July. The report of the Unemployment JJoard on the registrations of unemployed at 6th July, 1935, reveals an increase over the figures a month ago in the total number of males who are wholly, or partly, a charge on the Unemployment Fund, hut a decrease on last year’s figures. The present total of 55,508 represents an increase of 2327 on the corresponding figure recorded last month. The number in receipt of part-time employment under Scheme 5 or on sustenance in lien of relief work at oth •TillV was 38,085, compared with 37,151 on ‘7th July, 1934, or an increase of 934. The number in full-time employment, but assisted by wagcs-subsidics from the Unemployment Fund, was 17,483 on the same date, compared with 23,482 a year ago, a decrease of 5999. This makes a. total number who are a charge on the Unemployment Fund of 55,508, compared with 00,033 a year ago, a reduction of 5005.
