WELLINGTON HOSPITAL BOARD (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. Opposition to increases averaging about £2O a year in the salaries of eleven nurses was voiced at the Hospital Board meeting on the ground that notice of motion had been given for the examination of the salary position of the whole of the employees. It was stated that the nurses concerned were all heads of departments. The chairman, Mr F. Castle, said that it was in the interests of the board to keep them as long as possible. This was more difficult to do unless their salaries were increased. ,
