WRESTLERS’ REFUSAL

IMPORTANT PRINCIPLE INVOLVED (Bv Telegraph—Press Association) PALMERSTON N., 27th June. In connection witli the reported refusal of Pereira and Kruskamp to fulfil an engagement to wrestle at Palmerston North on Tuesday unless the Palmerston North Association agreed to a certain guarantee, which, under the New Zealand rules the local association was unable to give, the local association met last night and decided to bill the New Zealand Union for the amount of expenses incurred. It was also decided to ask for disciplinary action against the offending wrestler or wrestlers. The view was expressed that the principle involved affects all minor associations.
