WOMANS BAG SNATCHED

[By Telegraph—Press Association] AUCKLAND, 30th April. A young man on a bicycle snatched a woman’s handbag m Epsom Avenue at about 10.30 o’clock last night. He rode off and has not Leen traced. Miss Helen Fraser, ~f Mount Eden, who was on her way home, was opposite the Mount Eden bowling green when her handbag was snatched from her- hand. She made an exclamation, thinking for a moment /that it was some young man playing a joke mtil she saw a cyclist pedalling fast down the street. She called for fleJp, but it was in vain. The handbag d'd not contain money, but in it were the keys of her house. She believes the cyclist was masked.
