DAIRY EXPORTS
Cabled advice that the marketing regulations adopted this season by the New Zealand Dairy Produce Board were discussed at a meeting of the London Importers’ Association last week has been received, and indicate that the association decided to approach the Dairy Board for a mutual agreement on alterations suggested by the experience gained of the regulations. It was agreed that changes in the scheme were necessary, and some members were in favour of seeking the withdrawal: of the regulations. ■
The. regulations, «vhich govern the marketing by factories of butter and cheese, were adopted by the Dairy Board at the beginning of the current dairy season. The regulations, were framed on suggestions made by ..the Importers' Association, although it. is claimed that the. board enforced closer control than was originally proposed,. It was understood that the regulations would be reviewed at the close of this season. One of the most contentious clauses has been that dealing with sales of produce f.o.b. or c.i.f.'
