MINING DISTRICT’S ENTERPRISE RAISING MONEY FOR PUBLIC fV:V MALL ff The prospectors of the Howard goldfields are raising funds for their local public hall, and recently gave an outstanding entertainment to an enthusiastic audience at the Gowan bridge hall, which was packed to its full; capacity. The programme took the form of a revue enacted by 18 male and 4 female performers, followed by supper and dancing to the music of the entertainers’ orchestra. ' . , . Tliis Friday they are re-staging their revue at the Murchison Theatre, and the following week-end at Tapawera. _ The Howard Golddiggers hope that their efforts will be an incentive to any talent in tile Nelson districts, and in the event of the above districts organising a concert party, they can rest assured of a hearty welcome should they visit the Howard district.
