MAITAI LODGE

VISIT OP DRUIDS TO WELLINGTON AT EASTER The fortnightly meeting of Maitai Lodge No,. 15, U.A.0.D., was held in the Orange Hall, Collingwood street, last evening. The Arch Druid (Bro. L, Delaney) occupied the chair, and there was a very large attendance. One application for assistance was referred to the Benevolent Committee with power to act. The organising-secretary (Bro. W. W. Delaney) reported that he had received twelve names of members going to Wellington at Easter (Shedwood 5, Trafalgar 2, Maitai 5), also three ladies. P.A. Bro. W. Delaney reported on the meeting of the remits committee in connection with the conference of the Grand Lodge this month. It was resolved that the committee’s recommendations be received and adopted, and the committee he accorded a hearty vote of thanks. This was carried by acclamation. Reports were also received of meetings of the Pioneer Lodge No. 19 (juveniles), and an executive meeting of the United Friendly Societies’ Indoor Bowls and Pastimes Association. After further business had been transacted and the passing of sick pay and accounts, the lodge was .closed in the usual manner.
