THRONE OF SIAM
OFFERED TO PRINCE ANANDA NEPHEW OF EX-KING (Uidted Proas Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, 4th March. The “Daily Mail’s” Lausanne correspondent says that the Siamese Minister in Paris has offered the throne to Prince 'Ananda, the eleven-year-olcl nephew of the ex-Ki*j. The mother, .Princess Songkla, does not object to the accession of Ananda, who is being educated at Lausanne and intimated that he was ready to agree to the people’s wishes. SINGAPORE, 4th March. The Siamese Government is determined that the King’s successor will be a mere figurehead.
